Sarah J Maas created a whole different story from the Beauty and the Beast but you could tell the similarities of the two. Not only did Maas created a gripping and page turning plot but also written a kick-ass and swoon worthy characters. The writing style captures the reader’s attention and ends up wanting for more. After reading this, Tamlin was immediately on the top list of my favorite fictional boyfriends. Who couldn’t resist his mysterious, good looking, and witty dialogues? Oh and Lucien never fails to make us laugh which makes this story balanced. Feyre is a normal teenager who is independent although there were some decisions that makes me annoyed. Nevertheless, she is a strong kick-ass character which I love.

I could never deny that it was my first Sarah J Maas book. The book totally lived up to its hype. Whenever you stumble to the blog posts, Instagram or Goodreads, you will see that this is a well-known book. There are a lot of readers who recommended it to me last year but I never got the chance o read it which I regretted. I should have read this months ago after it was released. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on The Throne of Glass series. I know it will be as much as good as this.

This is a perfect high fantasy read for fans of Game of Thrones and fairy tale retellings. A perfect 5 out of 5 stars for this. I can’t wait to meet Sarah J Maas this March!
